Sharps to Kennelly Creek

This will be the third time I have tried to add text to these pictures. Each time it has vanished into vapor. However, I will keep trying.
Steve and Barbie Sharp came for a short 2 day visit and got here late Wednesday evening. We forgot how bad the road construction is getting to Tamerack, so had to endure 3 long waits to get there and more waits inside the resort. It just keeps growing. The trip back was timed just right so that we only had to wait once. Thank goodness.
Thursday evening as the sun was setting, Steve, unable to hunt with gun, decided to take binoculars out to the deck and see what would show up. He wasn't disappointed because at about dusk, 19 cow elk meandered across the valley followed by one bull. At about that time 4 or 5 bull elk, still in the trees on the hillside, started bugeling back and forth.....26 times. Yes, Steve counted each one. Barbie and I went out to listen, but 3 or 4 times was enough for us....after all, it was cold out there.
Friday morning after a leisurely breakfast, Steve and Howard headed up to the fishing pond. The fish weren't biting too well, but they both caught 2. Afterwards, we all hopped on 4-wheelers and took off for our favorite destination, Kennelly Creek. The weather was gorgeous and fairly warm for a crisp Autumn day. I must say that it was beautiful. The creek was fairly low, so we crossed and went kasploring (Parkerism...see a previous entry on this blog) It was my first time to go past the creek. It was a great adventure.
As usual, this location never fails to desplay God's handiwork. We just provide a comfortable place to enjoy it all and it is fun to share.
